Solar & Going Green
Hammerkop River Unit runs on solar power as part of our commitment to reducing our footprint and protecting this beautiful environment.
On sunny days, you are welcome to use the air-conditioning. However, on gloomy or overcast days after 5pm, we kindly ask that aircons not be used, as the solar panels may not charge sufficiently. We appreciate your understanding as we continue working towards a greener future.
We also ask guests to switch off lights and air-conditioning when leaving the unit and to use water sparingly, as we rely on water tanks.
